Site: Latin American Literature – This site was easy to navigate and had a bibliography at the end of each page to show authorship. The content was relevant and valid to what we were searching for; it had both authors and terms often used in connection with Hispanic Literature.

Site: House on Mango Street This site was very good and provided authorship information via a byline. The site tells you what the information is about and where it was found. The site was easily navigated and the information seemed reliable and valid.

Site: Complete listing of books and tapes by master storyteller Joe Hayes This site had good navigation and usability, however, it was more of a commercial site than an educational site. We couldn’t find evidence of authorship.

I think that Yahoo was the best search engine that we used for this search because it narrowed down the information and we found reliable and valid information. The information we found was related to the topic that we were researching. It also didn’t go too broad, it was narrow and the information was easy to use and navigate. The site that we checked for Yahoo was reliable and had a bibliography on each page. AltaVista was the worst search engine for us because the information provided was not relevant to what we were researching. It also took us 5 attempts to make the search shorter and have fewer sites to look at. The sites that were available were not relevant in an educational way and were more commercial. They were sites that did not connect to the topic that we were researching.
